1. Labour Relations Amendment Act 2014 – The act aims to promote economic development, social justice, labour peace and democracy in the workplace and applies to both employers and employees.


 

2. Employment Equity Act and Employment Equity Amendment Act 2014 - Applies to all employers and workers and protects workers and job seekers from unfair discrimination, and also provides a framework for implementing affirmative action. 


 

3. Basic Conditions of Employment Act and Amendments - Applies to all employers and workers and regulates leave, working hours, employment contracts, deductions, pay slips, and termination 


 

4. Occupational Health and Safety Act and Amendments - Aims to provide and regulate health and safety at the workplace for all workers.


 

5. Skills Development Act and Amendments - Aims to develop and improve the skills of the South African workforce.


 

6. Skills Development Levies Act and Amendments - Every employer must pay a skills development levy each month towards the National Skills fund. The act prescribes how employers should contribute to the National Skills Fund.


 

7. Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act - Workers who are affected by occupational injuries and diseases are entitled to compensation.


 

8. Unemployment Insurance Contributions Act - Prescribes how employers should contribute to the UIF Contributions fund


 

9. Unemployment Insurance (UIF) Act and Amendments - Provides security to workers when they become unemployed.
